Hatha yoga: - Mat class

1 hour class that is suitable for those who are new to yoga or if it has been a while since you last practiced yoga.
The class will include
Asana (postures) that will help to awaken, stretch and tone your body
Pranayama (Breathing techniques) that will help to expand your breath capacity, energise your body and calm the mind.
Meditation and Relaxation, to rest and recharge your body, allow your body to absorb the benefits of your practice, a chance to reflect on your class and make positive changes within your daily life.
The class will include

chair Yoga:

1 hour class that also includes all aspects of the beginners class. The difference is that 90% of the class is done with the aid of a chair.
Asanas (postures) are done sitting on the chair or standing and using the chair for support or balance.
Pranayama (breathing techniques) are done sitting on a chair.
Meditation and Relaxation are sometimes done on a chair and sometimes done lying on the floor, if this is suitable for you, modifications for your personal needs are always available
It is amazing what you can do with the aid of a chair!!!

Low Mobility - wheelchair yoga class

Low Mobility- Wheelchair yoga is a class suitable for everybody no matter your mobility,
This class has been modified to suit those people that can't or don't wish to do any standing poses.
It is a class full of all yoga poses that I have adapted to doing on a chair. This class is beneficial in every aspect of a normal class, you will still do breathing to help calm the mind, gentle movement to stretch and strengthen the body and we will always finish the class with a relaxing meditation.

meditation and relaxation:

1.5 hr class that is designed to rest the body and restore the mind.
Together we will explore how you can use your breath, gentle movements and meditation to help bring a state of balance and relaxation to your mind, body and soul.
We will explore :
Breath: different ways of breathing to help bring peace to your mind, relief to aches and pains and anxiety.
Movement: a range of simple movements that can be used to stimulate and improve your energy, bring peace to your body, and to help relieve tension, and make you smile. (This can be done from our chair or on the yoga mat depending on your needs.)
Meditation: to complete the class and incorporate some of the techniques you learnt today to find inner calmness and relaxation.
No experience is necessary as I will be guiding you all the way.
