What to expect in a Low Mobility- Wheelchair yoga class
NEW LOW MOBILITY - WHEELCHAIR YOGA CLASS
Do you need the aid of a mobility device or in a wheelchair?
Want to get your body moving?
I would love you to come along and try a yoga class, NO standing or getting on the floor. You can do the class either sitting on a chair or in your wheelchair depending on your needs. Together we will gently stretch and awaken your body in a way that works for you. Yoga can help to loosen your tired muscles and joints, improve your flexibility, and strength and at the same time help to calm the mind.
My yoga classes are a bit different; I encourage you to have fun attitude during class, a smile and a laugh are just as important as moving your body.

Class is 1 hour, and your investment is $20
Yoga is a personal journey and everybody has different levels of fitness, flexibility and balance . No-one is better than you, just at a different stage or pathway to complete their own journey of life..
The class will include postures that will help to awaken, stretch and tone your body.
Including warm up to help loosen the tired muscles and joints, gentle stretching to help improve the flexibility, poses to help improve your strength . We use the aid of straps to help move and guide our legs and sometimes arms, We also use blocks to help improve our posture in both sitting and stretching.
We also do different Breathing techniques that will help to expand your breath capacity, energise your body and calm the mind.
I also love using noisy breath work , this helps to not only improve your breath capacity but also is a great way to release tension and frustration that you may be hanging onto.
We always finish with a seated meditation ,this is the time to relax and let me do all the work, I guide you on a relaxation journey incorporating body awareness, the breath and setting a personal positive affirmation.
This seems to be the favourite part of the class.
